I am Ridiculous - TYT Hoodies

TYT Army Gear...

Seriously, it is out of control how excited I was today when I got home and saw that my new TYT sweatshirt had arrived. I am not kidding- I started dancing in the lobby (I can't dance) and yelling like I'd just won the damn lottery (not that I've ever played).

I love it.

 (sigh)

Sometimes it really is just the little things...

:)

You are definitely a nerd, so you fit right in on that count, and since it's a TYT shirt, you're probably a political geek and possibly even a policy wonk, too.  You are a first-rate member of the TYT community.

The only requirement of the dress code is that you keep your shirt clean.  For geeks and nerds, we're a pretty neat bunch.

I am in the process of doing laundry right now and already added the TYT sweatshirt to the load. I'm a neat freak. While I'm fairly new to the whole political landscape (the 2008 election was the first time I ever paid attention) and very new to TYT (only started watching their videos in October, I think), I'm pretty well caught up. The combo of my OCD and ADD means when I get into something, I tend to become obsessed and intensely involved in short bursts. (I looked up every single US Senator currently in office and their state and party.) Then I need a break for a few days before getting right back into it. Huffington Post is addictive too.

If I could keep it to a "short burst" then I'd probably get more work done on other things, but I don't really mind.  My obsession began long ago and hasn't ended yet!

Welcome to TYT!

I can just imagine you doing the snoopy dance of joy with your new prize clutched firming in your hands.

I think I've just about wore out my TYT t-shirt and time for a new one.  I've had a lot of people ask who TYT was. Sometimes it's tough to explain to some people. Their YouTube channel has helped.

That is EXACTLY how I danced. Do you live in my bldg?! :O

In the next few days I will put up the Young Turks hooded sweatshirts for sale, at $48 each. If you want a head start, you can order one by sending a $48 donation to TYT and then emailing me at david@theyoungturks.com with your full name, mailing address and size preference (XXL, XL, L, M, S).

Though I think a pic would seal the meal for me!

Much props for keeping the Jill calendar available.  I'm sure these are still selling like hot cakes even if every year since '07 it's been the same pic.  Can we expect a new pic for 2011 or just more evidence of your love and admiration for Andy Warhol?

She's still working for that corporatist cabal, isn't she?

I want Ana!  I'm having to re-use last year's calendar, and it's making me dizzy!

I don't hear a word you're saying Evening about Jill.  I do know that I was just looking at TYT's store on Cafe Press and noticed they had a TYT Thong - what a perfect Valentines Day gift!

I was thinking about getting one for my girlfriend, but then I read this under the "Fit Guide:"

"These items are designed to fit juniors. They fit snug and sizes run small."

Really TYT - what are you trying to do to our children! So wrong..,.

unless of course you live in a "red state"

U.S. Obesity Trends
Trends by State 1985–2008

Obesity is defined as a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or greater. BMI is calculated from a person's weight and height and provides a reasonable indicator of body fatness and weight categories that may lead to health problems. Obesity is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease, certain types of cancer, and type 2 diabetes.

During the past 20 years there has been a dramatic increase in obesity in the United States. In 2008, only one state (Colorado) had a prevalence of obesity less than 20%. Thirty-two states had a prevalence equal to or greater than 25%; six of these states (Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia ) had a prevalence of obesity equal to or greater than 30%.

The animated map  shows the United States obesity prevalence from 1985 through 2008.

This explains why I have to do most of my shopping in the girls department. The womens sizes are always too large. When a size 0 is too big, you know something ain't right! They do it to make women feel like they are smaller than they are, but that ends up screwing up the women who really are a REAL size 0 and it's very annoying.

This confirms what I've suspected all along: women are very strange creatures.

I'll bet she'd look great on a 2010 calendar!

But don't try to fool us!  That's a fake background!  Except for that light dusting of snow you guys had in Malibu one day in 2007, you haven't seen snow lower than the foothills in years and years.

There is joy in being a dork.  Oh yes, there is!

Plus, they're just kick-ass hoodies.  I LOVE kick-ass hoodies!  Add in TYT and it's perfection.
