The Vatican is defending the pope against allegations that he shifted priests around during his reign as Archbishop of Munich.

Good job, guys. The pope is saying that he had no knowledge of anything that went on, of course. He was just the guy that was in charge.

This sounds a little like Nixon saying he had nothing to do with Watergate. Just another reason to hope religion dies... and soon.

Dude, dont you get it yet..... This is what these religions do, they abuse children so that when they grow up they will fear and obey the churches.

The number one rule that they want you all to know is that "YOU ARE BORN IN SIN".... yes.... you are evil from the minute you are born, and you must be prepared to be punished by the church to obtain "The Great One"'s forgiveness..  and that means submitting defenseless children to the perversions of these "Holy" soldiers of the only true "One" depending on which one they belong to.

 

Was there ever another organization that abused more children than the Catholic church?  Of course they are guided by .....   ahh fuck, forget it...

I found myself in a catholic mass yesterday due to extenuating circumstances. Needles to say, it makes me feel dirty and shame......

It is very sad that as people get older organized religion is all they have to cling to, which is why the right is able to manipulate so many seniors so easily.

It has always amazed be how there are so many supposed "freethinkers" who support any kind of questioning of a government or a philosophy. However, when it comes to a religion, well that is just an untouchable subject. You MUST listen to the church elders. It is stories like this that make me so glad that I am free from any gods. I love being an atheist.

I guess when it comes down to it, if you give people no option, such as "listen to my decrees or burn in hell", then they are obviously going to, to use the words of Cenk, "Bow their heads" and do what they are told.

...but greed’s ok. They can't even see their own hypocrisy through the dollar signs. My favorites are the ones that are against abortion but also against single payer healthcare and any social safety nets that would deter abortions, let alone sex education. 

Another case in point is all these “abstinence only” boys and girls that are sucking cock and taking it in the ass like no one’s business, yet consider themselves virgins. The moral shell game starts very young when the rules and the rule makers are intellectually conflicted.


That may be my new definition of conservative, the “intellectually conflicted”. What do you think?
