What I find so remarkable about this sign is that it is located smack in the middle of Harlem, NYC. I happened to walk past it last week and was so shocked, I had to take a picture.

But it wasn't the fact that it was a church that shocked me- just that it was in the middle of Harlem. I'm offended by all churches, but I had actually never seen anything like that sign except for coverage of the Tea Parties, other republican gatherings and perhaps some small-ass hick town in the south. The fact that this lunacy is now encroaching into my "backyard" is bothersome.

So maybe what I need to do is adopt the whole fruitloop-bat shit-conspiracy-fanatical stance and get me a church. I mean, the sane, rational, liberal thing isn't working out so well for me. I'm living in a one-room studio in E. Harlem and 90% of my pay goes directly to my ridiculously high monthly rent. If I just start acting insane and preaching hate and out-my-ass conspiracy theories, I might get myself an entire church! Tax break too!

Use to watch "Uncle Ruckus" videos frequently during the 08 elections ...one thing no one can't deny .. he has a deep seated hatred for Obama & anyone associated wit him. I was trying to catch up on his crusade this weekend ... discovered his new conspiracy is  the "Columbia University/CIA/Obama" conspiracy ... apparently Obama was a spy/handler for the CIA & was instrumental in helping Al Queda defeat the Russians in the 80's.

I mean, it's one thing for a fruitloop to be standing outside at Times Square wearing a sign or preaching on a megaphone, it's another to have an actual church in NYC. I honestly cannot imagine more than a handful of people attending. Maybe I should go just for shits and giggles (though I'm sure it would end up being more shits.)

Watching his vidz on the net I can say there are a few attendees from the old to the young, all black. He has said on more than one occasions he lost many attendees the day he began speaking against Obama.

He is ashamed of black people & his blackness ... he mentions this on many of his videos.

He makes some good points now & then ... I would admit .. but he is still a KOOK ... who needs to be institutionalized.

He is what I call the epitome of a Black Conservative.

As much of a world class nut job as Reverend Jeremiah Wright may be, he was Obama's pastor. Obama basically disowned him and now there seems to be parts of the Black Church that want revenge. Nevertheless, when you hear Sharpton or Jackson (doubt it..Chicago crew...won't do it) bad-mouthing the President, then it's over.

I'm an atheist, but I can see why the Catholic Church hates people who are loud and full of shit, including their version of the Pentecostals, the equally benighted charismatic movement.

You can't yank these people's tax exemption. Freedom of Religion is tied to Freedom of Speech. You could worship a 10-year-old booger, and as long as your church meets IRS guidelines, you have a religion going. Unfortunately, our continent has decided to fuck itself with a huge crucifix right up the ass. Religion, or something like it, strikes again.

Pastor Manning has some interesting ideas and strong beliefs.  Time will tell who is right.  Regardless of his beliefs he believes in them passionately, is prepared to put his money where his mouth is and accept whatever consequences come what may.

If progressives felt the same way about health care, we would have a public option.

I often listen to Pastor Manning for the 5% that is true and the 95% that is entertainment.  It will be interesting how he stretches his argument in the upcoming trial and what factual nuggets will come out of it.

Manning is a birther and is called a kook precisely because he is black and swimming against the tide. He believes that blacks should pull themselves up by their bootstraps and stop looking for handouts from the govt.  His statement that Harlem is safe because all the black men are in jail is a dig at both sides of the discussion.

If you listen carefully to what he says and ignore the theatrics, he is criticizing both sides, liberals and conservatives.  He is a libertarian and I pray he gives up his fascination for Palin.

Don't waste your vote, vote Green or Independent in the next election.
