China has unfairly manipulated its currency for the past ten years to increase its manufacturing base at the expense of US labor.
In a recent op-ed, CNN described the latest battle in the ongoing currency dispute. There is no question that China's mercantilist policies and currency controls have benefited Chinese companies and multi-nationals doing business there. What it hasn't done is helped American workers.

China is going to listen. It's time for Obama to support American labor and workers and end this farce called "free trade". There is nothing free or fair about a country manipulating its currency.

End US participation in WTO, put tariffs on Chinese goods, it will not be another Smoot Hawley. The US can only be the winner as we start to employ the 15 million workers that have lost out, rebuild our industrial base and start collecting taxes from all those workers to pay down our budget deficit.
Yes, we have to tighten our belts. That means we can no longer afford to subsidize Chinese imports with a misguided trade strategy. Do you really want to buy goods from a country that practices slave labor, steals our technology and never supports us in the UN? China is not our friend and never will be.
