Two fertility clinics, one in the USA and one in the UK, have partnered to circumvent UK laws via an odd raffle mechanism.

Note carefully, as you listen to this report, the way they contrast the more ethically-cautious UK laws on this matter with the free-wheeling, market-driven laws of the USA.

The phrase that revolted me was - The winner will be able to select the egg donor according to race, upbringing and education..

One user on YouTube commented "picking up where Hitler left off". Every now and then YT comments actually throw up something intelligent, rare as that may be.

And I had to agree. There is something quietly horrifying about this.

These experiments usually end badly as (none / 0)
evidenced in the original Star Trek episode SPACE SEED followed by the movie THE WRATH OF KHAN.  But not to worry, whether you go with the TERMINATOR: SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES or CAPRICA / BSG or AI, the cyborgs will eventually prevail and eventually humans will be lost to history like the Neanderthals before us.
