Barack Obama: The Democrats' smilely face "Tricky Dick" Nixon.

Obama used and manipulated his own supporters over the Public Option. The Democrats will pay a terrible price for these lies in the fall election.

For Obama to egg on his supporters, to exhort them to keep up the fight, and pledge his strong support for a public option, when all the while he had cut a deal with the hospital and corporate lobbyists to remove the public option from the final legislation:

Wow, that's just evil. That's just plain, raw, unadulterated manipulation on Obama's part. Boy, he really is one dirty "Tricky Dick" Nixon type.

I feel sorry for those fools who continued to believe in him, long after it was obvious he was a fake.

It's like the poor fools that belong to cults - following some power-mad sleazeball who's just using and manipulating them. They desperately want to believe in something to try and make their lives worthwhile, and the scumbag cult leader takes advantage of their incredible naivete.

Yes, I too was tricked and fooled by him, supported and voted for him in the all-important NC primary and the general election. But it didn't take me long to figure that Obama was nothing but a tool of Wall Street crooks.

Obama promised "Change We Can Believe In", instead we got a pack of lies, and BIG BAILOUTS for Wall Street and the Health Insurance Industry! The people won't stand for this - and even though the Republicans are worse, Obama will cause the Democrats to pay the price. That is the moral consequence of his lies.

I remember Nixon, and that's not really a good comparison.

You see, Nixon had balls.

...(with maybe the exception of William Henry Harrison--who knows about him?) was bolder and more of a leader than Obama is.  Hoover was more of a leader.  Andrew Johnson was more of a leader.  Al Haig, who sort-of "assumed" the presidency for about 20 minutes in 1981, was more of a leader.

Obama doesn't do what is politically helpful to him, or what is politically easy, or what is good policy, or what is good PR, or what is consistent with his party's platform, or what is consistent with his own campaign, or what feels good.  He doesn't lead, he doesn't fight, he doesn't see obvious trends, he doesn't pick low-hanging fruit, he doesn't expose his opposition, and he doesn't represent honor, honesty, competence, transparency, vision, backbone or savvy.

What the Hell DOES he do with the power of the highest office in the free world?  Is the presidency now just a doormat for lunatic Conservatives to trample all over while it smiles and says "Welcome"?

We'd be better off with Asthon Kutcher.
