Adam Gadahn gets caught

I have a few thoughts on Adam Gadahn's capture.

It would be nice if the media would stop giving so much publicity to guys like Adam Gadahn, the American mouthpiece of al Qaida. Terrorists should not be given any publicity because when you give terrorists publicity, that is like glorifying them. These are not soldiers; there are terrorists. Adam Gadahn would churn out videos calling on Muslims to attack civilian targets specifically. I find that incredibly disappointing.

In my opinion, trying to end American hegemony in the Middle East is a noble cause. But this noble cause gets sullied by men like Adam Gadahn when they call for attacks on civilians. Gadahn has been arrested, but right before he got arrested, he put out a video calling on Muslims in the US to emulate Major Nidal Hasan, the army psychiatrist who went on a shooting rampage in Fort Hood.

Once again Adam Gadahn did a disservice to people who actually want the Middle East free itself from the United States and its puppet clients. Attacking civilians is immoral and unethical. And attacking soldiers is also immoral and unethical if it takes place away from the battlefield. I think that the media committed a grave error by focusing on Adam Gadahn's capture.

The media should instead have used this opportunity to ask the question whether America's military involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan is creating more terrorists. The media should have asked whether US military bases in virtually every Middle Eastern nation actually serve American national security interests. The media did none of these things, and it's a shame. It really is a shame.

...but Adam may be still on the loose.

But the rest of your post is good.

Well, no, of course not. Because the media are owned by the same huge corporate conglomerates that are making huge profits off the war.
