Michael Bloomberg

Cenk said that Obama played golf all day with
the mayor of New York and that the rumor is
Obama may ask him to be his treasury sec. Cenk seeems to like this idea. I respect Michael Bloomberg, but Cenk shouldn' t think that this guy is going to do anything different than the last corporate boot licker Geitner. If anything Obama is trying to look more corporate. Those CEO's don't like Obama even though he has only hit them with a feather. Wall Street respects Michael Bloomberg who as all the credentials to look out for their interests.

Michael Bloomberg is worth almost $20 billion. As Cenk says, its all about the money. Who could possibly buy out MICHAEL BLOOMBERG? The Ex-Solomon brothers turned media mogul turned mayor would laugh at any lobbyist attempts to sway his favor. The man stood up against his whole party on the Mosque issue. He speaks his mind, and he's smart enough to know what's best without being blinded by greed for future profits.

it's really a moot point as Bloomberg has said that nothing short of serious injury will stop him from finishing his third term as mayor. I think he'd be an excellent T-sec. From what I've seen, he's a smart guy and has a good notion on the economy. He's one of the only people that if he said the only way to stimulate the economy is by stimulating the richest. I would at least hear him out. He's just one of those rare politicians that, while I might not agree with him on everything, his positions make sense.

What I would love to see is Obama replacing Biden in 2012 - but then again I was one of those people who wanted Bloomberg to run. Well, at least before I realized he was too smart to run (no president was going to be popular with the decisions they'd have to make)

that Mayor Mike strong-armed the city council to grant him a waiver so he could run for a 3rd term. NYC mayors previously had a 2 term limit.

He also stood by while the NYPD used excessive force and unconstitutional tactics during the RNC in 04. He allowed Ray Kelly to jail obviously innocent demonstrators for the duration of the convention in bus garages and so on.

Bloomberg has also closed one of our best libraries (Donnell) so it could be demolished and a hotel built in its place.

Bloomberg has also quietly changed policy on parks building fences around them and forcing them to close at midnight.

Our freedoms have eroded under Bloomberg dramatically but of course media has let this happen unannounced.

Do a little research, please, before you endorse someone for higher office.
