About Class Warfare

“There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning.” - Warren Buffett

“There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning.” - Warren Buffett

I just wanted to make this known to everyone here. This was a quote by one of the richest men in our country. Anyone who's blind to the truth about class warfare and claiming it's the middle and lower classes that are waging war on the upper, even the rich themselves admit that they are the ones who are making the war and, not only did they start it, but they're winning it.

Look at the nation around us, look at the policies passed. Look at the income gap, look at the power gap. The truth is apparent to anyone with eyes open. There is a class warfare and it's ruining our country.

Well the rich earned all the money that they made.  Why shouldn't they keep it?  Obviously they are the smartest members of society, so why shouldn't they be the most rewarded?  Why should the money from working folks go to reward people who don't contribute anything to society?

why should you, a middle class working schlubb pay taxes that would include, say, a program to help the homeless? or the severely mentally challenged who are abandoned?

why?

um...because you have a conscience?

because you feel empathy?

because you are human?

or not.

i mean, i don't know you. maybe you just don't give a shit about people.

one last thing...the type of world i think would be the logical conclusion if we did things your way...would most certainly involve class slaughter.

Except, a great deal of the top 10% didn't earn jackshit, they inherited it. Most of the upper upper class has been there since before the revolution. And, anyways, everyone should aspire to levels of Andrew Carnegie and his beliefs. The Gospel of Wealth, learn it.

The rich didn't earn all the money they made. They stole much of it from the middle class by using the power their money gives them to exert almost infinitely more control over the government than their numbers as individuals would warrant. It seems to be getting to the point that the government's main function is to transfer money from the middle class to the rich and government officials. And they are not using it to build civil society up. They are using it to tear society down by destroying democracy. They will continue their ruinous rampage until the government stops them or society collapses. It is the working folks who contribute most to society, not the super rich. The last question you posed should be, "Why should the money from working folks go to reward the super rich who contribute extremely little to society compared to how much they take?"

the people who say "there's no class warfare", are the same ones who say that "boycotts don't work, so don't bother".

If it would be a war you would need two parties fighting against each other.
Currently it's just a "Class Slaughter".
I just made up that phrase and demand that everybody uses it from now on at least once daily.;-)

It's class warfare, my class is winning, but they shouldn't be.

Sorry for the late reply, but certainly. Here

also another fun thing Warren Buffett said.

"It's class warfare, my class is winning, but they shouldn't be."
