When You Hear Republicans talking about Jobs

When you hear Republicans talking about "Jobs" you better start looking around for the nets and the slave ships.  Their idea of job creation is another extension of their "ownership scociety" wherein they "own" labor.

Air America vs. Fox News

Fox News is always ragging on Air America. They say that a liberal radio network can't work, the hosts don't have any talent and that the network is always losing money. So, let's see how Air America did against Fox News last year.

Why Hillary is still in the race.

Randi Rhoades on her Thursday, May 15th show NAILED it as to why Hillary is still in the race and campaigning so vigorously.  Like Cenk said, "It's all about the MONEY, Lebowski!!!"  Plus, for added goodness, Randi compares the Hillary Campaign's to Air America's financial RECKLESSNESS, in a clip I cut and posted to my (actaully my Dad's) mac.com web space.  Let me know if you guys have trouble listening or downloading the clip, so maybe I can pass it off to somebody who can post it somewhere EASIER.

What's the deal w/ Air America?

I've been listening to AAR for at least a year now and don't pay much attention to all the critics of the station until I became one myself.

internet only? what's up Cenk?

I've only heard references to this, but I don't see any written info on it. Did Air America drop the Turks? Won't I be hearing them on the way to work?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have no info. Should I start bitching at Air America now?

Somebody please fill me in....? Thanks I think.

WWRL NEW YORK - WTFF?

What the fuckin' fuck?

Finally, Air America "flagship" station in New York, WWRL, gets rid of the $350K paid right-wing shill Armstrong Williams in the morning...and brings in failed TV host Richard Bey with sidekick Mark Riley (who we still love from Morning Sedition, granted)?

Ummm what about putting Young Turks on in the morning? Cenk, who can we politely nudge about this? I'm so happy that the shill and closeted boy-harasser Williams is kicked off, even Lionel sounds better to me. But come on! What the fuckin fuck?

Air America Statement on Randi Rhodes

A lot of you have been asking about Randi Rhodes this morning.

Here is Air America's statement on what happened:

October 16-NEW YORK-On Sunday evening, October 14, Air America host Randi Rhodes experienced an unfortunate incident hindering her from hosting her show. The reports of a presumed hate crime are unfounded. Ms. Rhodes looks forward to being back on the air on Thursday.

Stay tuned to airamerica.com for more updates. Obviously, our best wishes for a speedy recovery go to Randi.

On a lighter nore, on tomorrow's show, I will tell you the story of how I got my ass kicked by a crazed mob of Cuban Americans. Totally true story.

Why Brian Williams is Irrelevant

I've met and interviewed Brian Williams. He's a lovely guy. Personable, funnier than expected and smart. He is also irrelevant.

There's nothing wrong with Brian Williams. He is a smooth, professional news anchor. He's not offensive, biased or fake. He plays it straight - and that's his problem.

It's not him. It's us. We're not interested in someone regurgitating the news to us and taking a half hour to do it. We don't need a professional news anchor to tell us what the news is. This isn't 1955. I've got all the news in the world at my fingertips, what do I need this guy to tell me what he thinks is important? Who cares what Brian Williams thinks is important?

In the old days, you needed these authority figures to sort out the news for you and tell you what was important and weed out the riff-raff. But these aren't the old days. I have a mind of my own. I don't need to borrow a news anchor's. And if I were to borrow one, that's not the first place I would look.

NEW YORK-January 29, 2007-Air America Radio announced today that it has signed a letter of intent to sell its business to SLG Radio LLC, an entity controlled by Stephen L.
