Personal Profile

I was lucky enough to begin my career at the age of 19 since I finished my B.A in Journalism two years early. CBS Radio gave me a position in news production, where I learned all the technological and behind-the-scenes aspects of putting a radio show together.

In April of 2007, I began working as a fill-in for The Young Turks Show, which aired on Air America Radio at the time. I soon began working for the show full time doing production work, booking various guests on the show, and also reporting entertainment and off-beat news. It has been a crazy ride ever since. The Young Turks now airs on a number of places, including XM Satellite Radio, Air America's live stream, and TYT's live stream.

I've always had an interest in political events and history. I went on to get a Masters in Political Science by 22. Although my main role on the TYT is to cover entertainment stories, I mostly enjoy booking guests for the political portion of the show. It allows me to have some say in the content of the first two hours of the show.

I am Armenian, and the daughter of two immigrant parents who came to the United States with absolutely nothing. They have been the powerhouse of my motivation and determination. I do read, write, and speak Armenian fluently.

I live life as actively as possible. I love to work out, dance, run, and hike. Traveling is also a passion of mine, although it's hard to get away with it when you're in school with a full time job. In the summer of 2007 I traveled throughout Europe and came back with a different mind-set. There's a lot to see out there and not nearly enough time to see it.
