I never used to pay attention to politics. I lived under George W Bush for most of my life (he was sworn in when I was 8). When I got older and got interested in politics, I started watching him... and I hated him. He gave me enough reason to think that i should hate "The Establishment" and go set American Flags on fire. But then Obama stepped into the picture. When i saw him give his speeches, I was spell-bound. I started following his campaign trail and I was SO psyched when he won the election. (I didn't sleep all night. I just talked to my liberal friends on the phone all night). I even got to go to the inaguration. It was one of the greatest moments of my life. And the fact that I can say "I was there" makes it all worth it. I'm starting to become more interested in politics even though my instruments require most of my time. I started watching the Young Turks on Youtube, and I loved them. I hated watching Chris Mathews and other political talk shows, because it felt to grown-up. Plus I didn't understand A lot of the terms they were throwing at me. I love TYT because Cenk and Ana givei t to you straight - no bull. I can understand it very clearly. I'm not saying its dumbed down or anything, its just good to see hosts talk about it in an average-joe kind of way. I was born in Louisiana, but I moved to VA when I was little and I've grown up here ever sense. I love it here, and some of the best people you will ever meet live here. I hope to be a profesional musician someday, on any one of the instruments that I play (Bari Sax, Alto Sax, Flute, Contrabass clarinet, Drums, Bass guitar) Yes, I am in Marching Band at my high school.
