Personal Profile

I grew up in the mean streets of small town New Jersey where republicans go to raise kids. As a teenager, my capacity for rational thought freed me from both my Christianity and Republicanism, though I've remained deeply interested in both religion and politics. I studied philosophy in college to figure out the meaning of life (turns out there is none), then spent two years in California trying to figure out how best to kill the remaining time before I die. I'm currently traveling the world and working as a freelance English teacher, though in addition to vocabulary and grammar my students learn a lot about American politics. I write about my personal life, as well as essays on politics and philosophy at kemstone.com.
