Hopefully you guys caught the Judiciary Committee's hearing on
C-Span today. It was some of the most riveting C-Span I've watched in a long time. Even Bugliosi is up in the hizzouse though Cindy Sheehan gets tossed to the curb. Kudos again Kucinich and if you missed it live and have Real Player, here are the two panels that you can stream anytime -
Panel 1,
Panel 2.

A "Racialist" Breakdown to Maxim's Hot 100

When TYT went over Maxim’s top 100 hot women of 2008 last Friday, I was once again disappointed with this year’s crop. Don’t get me wrong, I love White women, but this list is just plain whack. To begin, the only Indian woman to make the list was Victoria Secret’s, Selita Ebanks, coming in at #63, not to mention a big zero on the Arab/Persian American women. In all fairness, American Pie’s, Shannon Elizabeth #29, does have a father who is part Syrian and Lebononse, but is this as good as it gets?
Moving on to the Black women, Ashanti and Garbrielle Union were the only ones to make the list who had both a Black father and mother, though five other Black/White women made the list. I guess according to Maxim’s standards if you happen to be a person of color, you better have some white in you if want to be a serious contender? The Latinos did a little better with seven finalists along with another five of mixed Latino/White heritage. For the record, I classified the two Spanish women (Penelope Cruz and Paz Vega) as Latinos along with the Puerto Ricans (Nadine Velazquez and Roselyn Sanchez), Dominican (Zoe Saldana) and Cuban (Eva Mendes). Now on to the Jewish women - Sarah Michell Gellar #5 and Mila Kunis #81. Ok, there were seven additional women who had one parent of Jewish decent, but I’ll save that for my big “Mixed Group” breakdown.
Also if you're offended by Maxim's standard of judging "hottness" by outward physical beauty, go check out feminist, Jessica Valenti's
Real Hot 100. Jessica's a hottie inside and out and word is she's coming to the Young Turks soon!

Hillary's Cry - What Really Matters!

I’m sure everyone has seen the
clip of Hillary getting choked up yesterday and it seems like everyone and their grandma has an opinion of whether her feelings were genuine or not. Personally I can give a hoot what Bill Kristol, Dick Morris, or even Cenk thinks about her authenticity since I feel only Hillary knows whether her emotions were calculated, genuine, or even a combo of the two. To me what matters is what Hillary attempted to do following her emotional outbreak and it makes me sick.

Down with the McCain Train!

It seem like all the cable news stations are rerunning their shows and the most recent Republican poll on
Politico is only showing 96% of the precincts accounted for in Iowa. I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow for the winner of the Thompson/McCain battle for 3rd since they're in a dead heat with Thompson leading by .24%. It seems like most people don’t really care, but I can’t help myself…

Jill & Ben Return - Please not Hillary & McCain!

Yesterday we witnessed the return of Ben and Jill along with their political observations. To be honest, I was disappointed to see both of them put their money on Hillary and McCain. Sure experience in Washington, national security, and warmongering all affect the voting patterns of Americans, however, I want to have faith in the American people. I really feel people want change and I mean good change. What’s so wrong with changing the direction of our country when it’s obvious that were headed in the wrong direction? Today we saw the assassination of Bhutto and now McCain and Clinton are claiming how they’re the ones for the job in dangerous times like these. I wish these Senators would understand that we’re in trouble as a nation due to their reckless decisions and lack of action in the Senate. Then I watch shows like Chris Matthews along with his panel stooges and I want to throw a brick through my screen.
