What Breast Cancer is, and is not!

This is a very important video by a very brave and empathetic woman. I couldn't watch the entire tape though... I became overwhelmed with grief. Not only for the lady in the film but also for my mother who died 39 years ago, at age 57 from breast cancer. She didn’t have health insurance because she couldn’t work, having lost her husband some 20 years prior to coming down with this horrible health issue, thus obligating her to raise her 6 children alone. She had little to no support from anyone including her family who really didn’t understand what she was going through and had their own struggles with life.

Ugly Right-wing Ideology:
Mishima "Personhood?" Is that a far Leftist term? i cannot keep up with the different verbiage of the Left-wingers.
But you deflect and advert as usual. Of course, we can look to religious organizations and various charities to care for the babies whose mothers do not want them. But aren't YOU PEOPLE supposed to demand funding out of "compassion" and "caring" for the needy and helpless? Why so much effort and screeching to save the lives of convicted murderers, but silence when it comes to killing helpless unborn babies? Don't you see the hypocrisies? You claim "hatred" when people say a person should reap the results of his VOLUNTARY CHOICES, but dismiss the killing of babies in the very next sentence.
How can you NOT see the contradictions and hypocricy?

7 Years and Republicans Still Using 911 As Their TM
posted by thinkingblue
9-11 - The people's tragedy not the Republican! The Republican Party, stole the 9-11 appalling saga to further their neoconservative power agenda. After 7 years, they are still referring to it as something belonging to them. Vote for me and our country will be safe from another horrendous attack upon our soil. Vote for the other party and a violent infraction from some enemy will surely occur. We heard it solidly for the first four faux years of the neocon Bush administration, mostly to justify their illegal war. Now that Bush will soon sequester to the back pages of history under the subject, USA's worst presidents. Still, STILL, this party with NO shame, is using the tragedies of that infamous day in September 2001, when America was used like a stuffed leather bag, bludgeoned over and over again, to promote terror. They act as though they are saddened by the events of that terrible day but when they use it like a tool to get the power they so lust for, how can anyone believe their lament. Keith Olbermann, so poignantly put into words, how he feels, how I feel, how so many of you feel, the disgust and anguish we grip each time they use it as a prop.

AMERICA'S IGNORANCE ON RACE
posted by thinkingblue
EXCERPTED FROM PM CARPENTER The (Newsweek) new poll suggests white voters continue to be a challenge for Obama, with McCain leading the Democrat in that category 48 to 36 percent. Some of Obama's lag in white support may be explained by continual confusion over his religious identity. Twelve percent of voters surveyed said that Obama was sworn in as a United States senator on a Qur'an, while 26 percent believe the Democratic candidate was raised as a Muslim and 39 percent believe he attended an Islamic school as a child growing up in Indonesia. NOT ONE OF THESE THINGS ABOUT BARACK OBAMA IS TRUE!

The Many Faces Of John McCain
posted by thinkingblue
The closer we get to the presidential election the more John McCain looks and acts like George W. Bush. I don't know what his strategy is all about but do we really want another term of the neocons and Bush? I think not! Perhaps, he is banking on another 9/11 or something to shock Americans into the same fear-hold Karl Rove and the rest of the neocon manipulators had on the people...You know that PNAC group (which has since shut down their site...hmmm I wonder why, does rats overboard mean anything?) But, the PNAC in order to unleash their foreign/military campaigns needed a catalyzing event like "a new Pearl Harbor". (neocon quote) 9/11 rode to their rescue. Now they were able to Pied Piper all the little frightened children into the black hole of hell. But their utopian plan did not work out so well. Maybe they need another Pearl Harbor because it seems the little children have lost some of their fear and may need a booster shot. How much more can we take? Obama or Anyone But McBush!

Directly From The Butt Of Rush Limbaugh
posted by thinkingblue
It's hard to believe what can come out of the mouth (butt) of Rush Limbaugh but his latest tirade is beyond belief, beyond disgusting, beyond loathsome.
Yes it's very hard to believe this mindless little man could stoop so low as to praise the flood victims in Iowa, Illinois who happen to be mostly white and at the same time, condemn the Katrina victims with the same old rhetoric, innuendos and outright bigotry that the KKK type people carry in their bags of hateful garbage.
Those poor hurrican victims, who happen to be mostly of color are responsible in the intolerant brain cells of Rush, for their fate. I know beyond the pale, is too weak a phrase for this criticism from a genuine butt-hole. The only bewilderment I feel of such a creep sputtering into a microphone that goes out over the airwaves is, WHY THE HELL WOULD ANYONE LISTEN TO HIS SHIT AND STILL THINK OF HIM AS A CREDIBLE BEARER OF THE TRUTH?

Democracy Now, had a very informative show on June 13, 2006. They started their segment with Vince Warren on the Supreme Court's ruling of June 12th... That the detainees will have the same rules that America abides by in our Constitution... This ruling has happened 3 times now... The last two times Bush and his Republican Congress had it somewhat annulled.
The Judges did not do as they were told so their ruling cannot stand.
This is the mindset of Bush and his good little Judges Scalia, Thomas, Alito and Chief Justice Roberts but Justice Kennedy was... "A Bad Boy, A Very Naughty Boy" ... (A Flashback: On what Larry Craig Called Bill Clinton ) Watch the video and stay tuned for

The Supreme Court According To Bush.
posted by thinkingblue
The Supreme Court - According to Bush and his merry band of neoconservatives the only function of this Court should be TO DO AS THEY TELL IT TO DO. Well the 4 lackeys' did just that, 2 of which he appointed himself, the others, one his Daddy's choice and the other (he wished he was his daddy) Reagan's. Good ole Reagan appointed Anthony Scalia, (Scalia on capital punishment: "Death is no big deal" {unless of course it's his or his loved ones} - Hypocrisy to the highest degree!) did Bush's bidding just like a good little justice was suppose to do. But the tie breaker was Kennedy (Justice Anthony Kennedy acknowledged the terrorism threat the country faces — the administration's justification for the detentions — but he declared, "THE LAWS AND THE CONSTITUTION ARE DESIGNED TO SURVIVE AND REMAIN IN FORCE, IN EXTRAORDINARY TIMES!") Thank all that is good that Reagan slipped up on this nomination, when he nominated a THINKER to the Supreme Court. Will wonders never cease? See video here: http://thinkingblue.blogspo

According to politicians like Hillary, WE THE PEOPLE are all just a group of ding-a-lings...

The slogan was actually 'Loose Lips Might Sink Ships. This was one of several similar slogans which all came under the campaigns basic message - 'Careless Talk Costs Lives'. from this link) So many lives! thinkingblue

McCain's Gaffe - 100 Year War For Oil
posted by thinkingblue
Isn't it amazing, anyone who said the 2003 Iraq war was actually waged because of our need and dependency on oil, was labeled unpatriotic or worse UN-AMERICAN. Now today, while into the 6th year of this sick, preempted illegal war, Republican presidential hopeful, JOHN McCAIN, is publicly... touting that same message. The hypocrisy is so palpable you can smell the foul odor of it.
thinkingblue ---
It wasn't that long ago another sweetheart of the Republican party mentioned this:
America's elder statesman of finance, Alan Greenspan, has shaken the White House by declaring that the PRIME MOTIVE FOR THE WAR IN IRAQ WAS OIL.
In his long-awaited memoir, Greenspan, a Republican whose 18-year tenure as head of the US Federal Reserve was widely admired, will also deliver a stinging critique of President George W Bush’s economic policies.
However, it is his view on the motive for the 2003 Iraq invasion that is likely to provoke the most controversy. "I am saddened that it is politically inconvenient to acknowledge what everyone knows: the Iraq war is largely about oil," he says. from:

Helen Thomas, YOU GO GIRL!
posted by thinkingblue
WE DO NOT TORTURE By George W. Bush Helen Thomas appears to be the only member of the media who believes we should all be aware of what is going on behind our backs. In fact, what's going on right in front of our faces while Bush and his scourging cabal thumb their noses at us. Torture has been mentioned briefly by anchors and news sources but then it fades away... The fact that we have used this hellish force on fellow human beings, is something that should never fade. I can't do much, for that matter almost nothing but whenever I can call attention to this dreadful act, I will! I'll spread the word or feelings from the rooftops (or maybe just youtube) about how abominable torture is. But what is even more frightening than torture is that we Americans, have elected leaders who not only use this immoral practice but hold it up as a useful tool touting "the end justifies the means". I think it's more like an end to society and the beginning of anarchy. Also watch: http://www.youtube.com/watc
