The Young Turks

I was born in New Jersey and raised in East Brunswick. Few people know this, but I have a Master's Degree in Geology. For many years I worked as an environmental consultant on job sites in many parts of the US and all over Latin America. (Bolivia and Mexico are my favorite countries.)

My environmental career came to a peak, or a pit, with my job as an international environmental liability underwriter with AIG in New York City.

In 2002, after a year of that, I quit AIG to move to Los Angeles and help Cenk and Ben Mankiewicz start up The Young Turks. We put it all together ourselves, learning whatever we had to learn on our own. It's been a wild ride ever since. Apart from my role as Producer of the show, I am the webmaster of this site and the Bitter Movie Critic, as well as host of Dave Koller's America.

I live in a one-bedroom apartment in Los Angeles, about one mile from our studio. I help bring down our total emissions of greenhouse gases by riding my bike to work.
